Billy Bell - Modern and Contemporary

Billy Bell

Billy Bell is an alumni of The Juilliard School. His past experiences include dancing with Jose Navas/Compagnie Flak and Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet where he performed works by Jiri Kilian, Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, Crystal Pite, and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Billy is a recipient of the Frank Prize for Emerging Artists and an Award of Choreographic Excellence by Capezio. He is also well established in the commercial dance scene having been on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance, after which he had the opportunity to work with the likes of Britney Spears, the original cast of RENT.

Ross Katen

Eileen Kim

Eileen Kim began her professional career at Universal Ballet in Seoul, South Korea, where she performed in theaters across South Korea and at the Palais de Congrés in Paris, France. Kim is an inaugural member of Zeitgeist Dance Theatre, collaborating with other artists on innovative company projects. Kim graduated as the valedictorian of the Kirov Academy of Ballet and is a BFA candidate at the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance where she has performed works by William Forsythe, Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Justin Peck, Balanchine, and Penny Saunders. Along with performance, she focuses her degree in composition and has a passion for American studies.

Ross Katen

Ross Katen

Ross Katen is originally from Oregon, and has been trained at Westside Dance Academy, The Portland Ballet, Arts & Communication Magnet Academy, The Juilliard School, Nashville Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, and at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Ross graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2013 with a BFA in Dance. After graduating, Ross joined the Limón Dance Company performing works by Jose Limón, Carla Maxwell, Seán Curran, and Rodrigo Pederneiras. Other credits include work by Alex Ketley, Mark Morris, Donald McKayle, John Magnus, Iain Rowe, Chase Brock, Chihiro Shimizu and Chuck Wilt.

Ross Katen

Andre Megerdichan

André Megerdichian performed professionally with such companies and choreographers as the Limón Dance Company, Janis Brenner and Dancers, The Mary Anthony Dance Theatre, Soundance Repertory Company, Reidel Dance Theatre, Daniel Charon, Seán Curran, and Dance Kaleidoscope. An Assistant Professor at the University of South Carolina he has also served as a faculty member at the Duncan Center Conservatory in Prague Czech, Republic, The Limón Institute in New York City, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, among others.

Sidney Ramsey - Ballet Intensive

Sidney Ramsey

Originally from South Carolina, Sidney Ramsey grew up dancing at Columbia City Jazz before moving to California to attend the University of Southern California. When she graduated college in 2021, Sidney became the USC Glorya Kaufman School’s first student to double major, earning a BFA in Dance and a BA in Health and Human Sciences. After dancing with companies in Canada and Hungary, Sidney has had the opportunity to perform works by choreographers like William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Alexander Ekman, Medhi Walerski, and Paul Taylor. Long-term, Sidney hopes to explore both how rigorous dance training impacts aging and how recreational dancing can act as a universal wellness intervention. In August, Sidney is excited to join the Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken, Germany.

Bonnie Boiter-Jolley - Ballet Intensive

Bonnie Boiter-Jolley

Bonnie Boiter-Jolley is a South Carolina native and graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts and the UofSC Honors College. Bonnie worked with contemporary dance companies Wideman-Davis Dance and Spectrum Dance Theatre under the direction of Donald Byrd before returning to Columbia in 2011 where she was a Principal Dancer with the Columbia City Ballet until 2021. Bonnie has been on faculty at the Columbia City Jazz Conservatory since 2010, teaches adjunct at the University of South Carolina and is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of the Columbia Repertory Dance Company.

>Abby McDowell

Abby McDowell

After attended the Professional Division of Pacific Northwest Ballet School and went on to dance for the Atlanta Ballet. She later received a company position at The Georgia Ballet where she performed many soloist and principal roles. Abby is currently a soloist with the Columbia City Ballet, where she enjoys performing roles such as The Snow Queen and Arabian Coffee in his production of The Nutcracker
